Unamused

This week it was announced that Coney Island's Astroland amusement park will close for good this Sunday (although apparently the landmarked Cyclone roller coaster will be spared).

Above, today's timely photo from Shorpy "the 100-year-old photo blog", of Luna Park, a Coney Island amusement park circa 1903. Luna Park lasted until a couple of fires in 1944 closed it for good.
